OBAMA IGNORES TRUTH - HIS MOTTO, 'SPEND, SPEND, SPEND'

Obama's Louis XV budget
By Charles Krauthammer
Friday, February 18, 2011;

Five days before his inauguration, President-elect Obama told The Post that entitlement reform could no longer be kicked down the road. He then spent the next two years kicking - racking up $3 trillion in new debt along the way - on the grounds that massive temporary deficit spending was necessary to prevent another Great Depression.
That lasted all of two months. The president's first post-commission budget, submitted Monday, marks a return to obliviousness. Even Erskine Bowles, Obama's Democratic debt commission co-chair, says it goes "nowhere near where they will have to go to resolve our fiscal nightmare."

House Republicans win spending cuts after marathon funding debate

By Molly K. Hooper - 02/19/11 06:18 AM ET

In a rare Saturday morning session, the House voted to cut more than $60 billion in spending for the federal government for the remainder of the year.

At 4:40 a.m., lawmakers voted 235-189 to send the so-called continuing resolution to the Senate. Not one Democrat voted for the bill that would cut at least $61 billion, from 2010 levels, in spending for federal programs and agencies

Three Republicans, Reps. John Campbell (R-Calif.), Jeff Flake (R-Ariz.) and Walter Jones (R-N.C.), opposed the bill that would pay for government operations on March 4, when the current funding is set to expire.

For the past four days, lawmakers in the people’s house debated the stringent spending cuts, submitted by GOP House leaders who pledged to cut at least $100 billion in federal spending from the president’s 2011 budget request.

THIS CONSERVATIVE SUPPORTS Rep WEST - WHOLEHEARTEDLY

DEMOCRAT CAMPAIGN ORG SHAMELESSLY ATTACKS IRAQ HERO
US Army Lt. Colonel Allen West was elected to congress in 2010 and barely took office in January. We’re proud to have been one of many groups supporting this honorable Iraq war veteran for congress.

Allen West is absolutely HATED by those on the far left. Why? Because Colonel West is an un-hyphenated American and an unashamed patriot. He also has the unique ability, which we have seen in only a few politicians, to accurately articulate the serious threat of radical Islam against America.

But now, with only a month and a half into his first term as a U.S. Congressman and the DCCC is already targeting West for the 2012 race. The DCCC (Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee’s) main job is to help Democrats win races. They believe if they start early they can steal the patriot’s seat in congress.

The DCCC is running TV, Radio and Web ads in West’s small East Florida coast district, telling lies about West’s commitment to cutting waste in government spending.

We can’t let the Dems slander an Iraq war hero like Colonel West!

Despite the fact that West won with 54% of the vote, his district is historically Democrat held and isn’t strongly favorable to such a strongly conservative Republican like West. That’s why we have to give him our strongest support!

MAKE A DONATION TO HELP IRAQ WAR VETERAN COL ALAN WEST STAY IN CONGRESS WHERE WE NEED HIM!

WISCONSIN DEMOCRATS DO NOT BELIEVE IN DEMOCRACY!

Walker: ‘Democracy Doesn’t Come by Hiding Out’

By Hiram Reisner
Wisconsin GOP Gov. Scott Walker Thursday told Fox News he is personally appealing to Democratic state lawmakers – who fled the state to circumvent voting on a budget bill that would curb union rights – to return and participate in the legitimate process, or law enforcement might again “seek them out.”

walker, wisconsin, unions, democracyThe governor is trying to reduce a $3.6 billion budget deficit without raising taxes. The state has been rocked by massive demonstrations, and the walkout of the 14 state senators, in protest of legislation that would strip teachers and other public employees of most of their collective bargaining rights and cut their benefits.

“They’re hiding out in another state. You know, unlike the vast majority of state and local government employees, most of those employees – 300,000 – showed up for work today,” Walker told Fox News’ Greta Van Susteren in a telephone interview. “Unlike those around the Capitol, and unlike those 14 state senators, Democrats, who decided to hide out, apparently down in Rockford, Illinois … They’re hiding out in hopes that somehow that will test the resolve.

NEVADA - SPEAK OUT AGAINST FOOLISH BUGET PROPOSALS

Nevadan,
If you've been following Nevada's budget debate recently, you've no doubt noticed that there are a lot of people talking about how various budget proposals will impact them.
Often missing from this discussion are the personal stories of individual business owners and their employees who are working longer and harder to make it during the recession. Many have also had to make difficult decisions or cutbacks to survive or expand.
The time commitment that this hard work requires makes it difficult to spend hours in a legislative committee hearing to present three minutes of testimony. And while representatives from many business organizations are working hard to share your stories with legislators in Carson City, a story that comes directly from you has more impact than anything relayed through a third party.
That's why I'm asking you to take a few moments to write and send me your story of how government's actions, regulations or taxes/fees have impacted your business.

VETERAN’S GROUP DEMANDS APOLOGY FROM SEC. OF STATE CLINTON
Claims vet was manhandled for silent protest
February 18, 2011

(NATIONAL) -- Could it be the U.S. government thinks peaceful, civilian protest against government is fine on the streets of Cairo, Egypt but not on U.S. soil?

As Secretary of State Hillary Clinton gave a speech at George Washington University yesterday condemning governments that arrest protestors and do not allow free expression - and lauding freedom of speech on the Internet - 71-year-old military veteran Ray McGovern was grabbed from the audience in plain view of her by police and an unidentified official in plain clothes and hustled out of the building and, according to McGovern and his supporters, was “brutalized and left bleeding in jail.”

What McGovern did was simply remain standing silently in the audience and turned his back on her as Secretary Clinton began her speech.

That was it.

McGovern, a veteran Army officer who also worked as a C.I.A. analyst for 27 years, was wearing Veterans for Peace t-shirt.

Blind-sided by security officers who pounced upon him, McGovern remarked, as he was hauled out the door, "So this is America?"

According to Mara Verheyden-Hilliard, attorney with the Partnership for Civil Justice Fund, “For this peaceful expression of dissent, he ended up bruised, bloodied, arrested, and jailed. Secretary Clinton never paused, continuing her speech lecturing other countries about the need to allow freedom of expression and dissent, while Mr. McGovern was hauled out in front of her.”

McGovern was later found to have his arm covered with bruises. The metal handcuffs were fastened so tightly that his wrists were cut and some blood flowed from the cuts.

After being held by local police, McGovern was told he was being charged with disorderly conduct.

Watch the incident in the video below.

Obama’s green power builds China’s red power
Liberals are not interested in actual outcomes for working folks, the economy or the country. They are only interested in feeling good because they have good intentions. ~Bob. Excerpt: Increasing the United States’ reliance on “clean” energy, as touted by President Obama yet again in this week’s budget proposal, would leave Americans just as dependent on unreliable foreign suppliers as we are now on the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries‘ stranglehold on oil. Instead of a handful of mostly Middle Eastern states, we would be dependent on a single nation for critical energy supplies - China. The threat to both national security and the U.S. economy is obvious to anyone who isn’t blinded by environmentalist dogma. The president’s claim - that his program of subsidies, government grants and tax breaks for green-energy technologies will reduce our dependence on foreign oil and thus improve the United States’ national security - is wrong. Rather, the greater our embrace of green-energy technologies, the worse off the United States likely will become geopolitically. Key components of every green-energy technology, wind turbines, solar cells, energy-efficient lighting, high-tech batteries and other goods, are made from a small class of minerals known as rare-earth elements and other rare minerals. Despite their name, these elements are rather abundant, but at the moment and for the near future, they are found in economically exploitable concentrations only in the People's Republic of China. With 96 percent of the global market, China has a de facto monopoly on the trade in these rare elements.

New Health Care Law Will Have Negative Impact
Sure, it will be a disaster for healthcare, taxpayers and the economy. On the plus side, liberals will get to feel good about themselves because their intentions were good, and intentions, not outcomes, matter. ~Bob. Excerpt: The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act represents the most significant transformation of the American health care system since Medicare and Medicaid. It will fundamentally change nearly every aspect of health care, from insurance to the final delivery of care. The length and complexity of the legislation, combined with a debate that often generated more heat than light, has led to massive confusion about the law's likely impact. But it is now possible to analyze what is and is not in it, what it likely will and will not do, says Michael Tanner, a senior fellow with the Cato Institute. In particular, we now know that: While the new law will increase the number of Americans with insurance coverage, it falls significantly short of universal coverage -- by 2019, roughly 21 million Americans will still be uninsured. The legislation will cost far more than advertised -- more than $2.7 trillion over 10 years of full implementation, and will add more than $823 billion to the national debt over the program's first 10 years. The new law will increase taxes by more than $569 billion between now and 2019, and the burdens it places on business will significantly reduce economic growth and employment. While the law contains few direct provisions for rationing care, it nonetheless sets the stage for government rationing and interference with how doctors practice medicine. Millions of Americans who are happy with their current health insurance will not be able to keep it.
