Ed Note: Have you ever marveled at the beautiful homes during a drive, looking at the well designed structures, well groomed lawns, clean yards and you wonder what the owner of a particular house has for a job and what type of person he/she might be? Would you be surprised to learn that a beautiful home could easily have leaking pipes, mold, termites, rats in the basement, hornets in the attic, and a drug addict wife on pharmaceutical heroin and a cheating husband that is an alcoholic cocaine user? What you see on the outside and what the owner(s) might tell you is probably a lie. Isn't that typical of the NSA/CIA? Looks great from the outside, but inside....corruption and lies abound and no Congress, and not even President Trump will be able to find truth and later exterminate the infested buildings protected by the "Deep State / Shadow Government."  The CIA/NSA operate without "oversight" except for when the budget comes-up each year, then the bureaucrats come-out of the infestation and tell Congress most anything they want to hear.--Dave Bertrand

Top NSA officials deny ‘blanket’ surveillance during Salt Lake City Olympics
By | The Salt Lake Tribune

Senior current and former National Security Agency officials have denied claims that the agency conducted "blanket" surveillance of Salt Lake City-area residents during the 2002 Winter Olympics.

In sworn declarations filed in U.S. District Court on Monday, current NSA Director of Operations Wayne Murphy and former NSA Director Michael Hayden rejected allegations made in a 2015 lawsuit against the agency. The lawsuit claims violations of privacy over an alleged dragnet government surveillance program during the Olympics, which had followed significant security concerns raised in the wake of 9/11.

NSA attorneys in a related filing this week request Judge Robert Shelby dismiss the case and issue a summary judgment. Shelby rejected an NSA attempt in January to have the case dismissed, saying the six plaintiffs — who all lived or worked in Salt Lake City during the Games — made legally sufficient allegations that the agency had conducted a widespread, warrantless surveillance program during the event.

DHS      DHS releases U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement Declined Detainer Outcome Report
The Department of Homeland Security today issued the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Declined Detainer Outcome Report required by President Donald J. Trump’s Executive Order, Enhancing Public Safety in the Interior of the United States, signed on January 25. This report will be issued weekly to highlight jurisdictions that choose not to cooperate with ICE detainers or requests for notification, therefore potentially endangering Americans. ICE places detainers on aliens who have been arrested on local criminal charges or who are in local custody and for whom ICE possesses probable cause to believe that they are removable from the United States, so that ICE can take custody of the alien when he or she is released from local custody.......
LA Times   Political Road Map: California has long depended on an illegal-immigration program that Trump wants to kill
For all of the unprecedented elements of President Trump's federal budget plans, there's an item buried in the list of detailed spending cuts that has a familiar, contentious political legacy in California. -- Trump has proposed canceling federal government subsidies to states that house prisoners and inmates who are in the U.S. illegally. He's not the first president to try it, and undoubtedly will get an earful from states like California......

If You're Employed in the Trades, You're Going to Work Alongside Illegals
In early March, I bid on an exterior paint job in the affluent community of Lake Oswego, Oregon. The lady of the house said something to me that no customer has ever said in my 40 years as a painting contractor. -- She told me that she suspected that one of the other bidders on the job might have been “illegal.” I asked if she meant an unlicensed contractor or an illegal alien. She suspected the latter, and said, “I would never hire illegals when I could give the job to an American citizen like you.”......
Daily Caller      Almost Half Of Canadians Want Illegal Refugees Deported: Poll
Support is growing among Canadians to deport illegal refugees who are entering Canada at unofficial border crossings. Almost half of respondents to a new Reuters/Ipsos opinion poll released Monday want the illegals out of the country. A similar number are critical of Prime Minister Justin Trudeau's response to the crisis. -- Only 36 percent of those polled want to keep the refugees in Canada.......
The Columbian     In age of Trump, Graham favors discrete immigration deals
Lindsey Graham, a Republican senator from South Carolina, hasn't given up on immigration reform. He was in the Senate to watch comprehensive bills he favored fall apart in 2006, 2007, and 2013. He was one of the presidential candidates whom Donald Trump beat for the Republican nomination in 2016. Trump won that contest after saying he would deport all illegal immigrants over a two-year period. -- But Trump softened on the issue after winning the nomination, and Graham now thinks he can work with him to achieve many of the aims of those earlier bills. He isn't trying to revive comprehensive legislation one more time, but he also rejects the idea of tackling issues a la carte. If Republicans try to enact legislation that only increases enforcement of the immigration laws, he believes Democrats will block it.......
The Journal      Colorado senator vows to fight president on immigration, Climate change
Sen. Michael Bennet vowed to fight federal cuts to health care and clean air and water protections during a packed town hall meeting at the DoubleTree Hotel on Friday morning. -- He also called for laws that would that would keep immigrant families together and support the study of climate change. -- Bennet also held meetings in Pueblo, Colorado Springs, Alamosa and Grand Junction as part of a two-day tour of the state.......
