GRASSTOPS USA 06/13/2017 9TH CIRCUIT WOULD ALLOW THEIR HATRED OF PRESIDENT TRUMP TO ENDANGER ALL U.S. CITIZENS!

UPDATE: The 9th US Circuit Court of Appeals just ruled that the Terorist Travel Ban is unconstitutional. It comes as no shock, but what is still shocking is that Republicans in Congress still refuse to stand up and be counted.

That level of betrayal is still unacceptable folks. We need to turn the heat up another notch. If you've sent Blast Faxes, now is the time to do so again. If not, it is essential that you make your voice heard right here and right now.

It's time to tell these Republicans in Congress, in no uncertain terms, thatthey need to get with the program, support the travel ban and do their Constitutional duty to keep America safe!

Who Are The Culprits?

Back on January 31, 2017, the Washington Post and Newsweek actually compiled a list of the Members of Congress who supported and opposed the travel ban.

At that time only 5 GOP Senators voiced public support for the temporary travel ban and since that time one of those 5 GOP Senators, Senator Roy Blunt, has moved to the opposition. The four supporters that are left are Senators Ted Cruz, Tom Cotton, Steve Daines and David Perdue

In contrast, at the same time, 8 GOP Senators (the number now stands at 9 now that Roy Blunt has joined the opposition) went on record opposing this common-sense measure to help keep the American people secure against terrorist attacks within the United States.

Those 9 are Senators John McCain, Lindsey Graham, Jeff Flake, Ben Sasse, Dean Heller, Jerry Moran, Cory Gardner, Susan Collins and Roy Blunt.

As for the rest, most of them either remained silent or tried to tap dance around the issue.

But once President Trump re-issued his call on Twitter in support of the travel ban after the terrorist attack in London, two of these vultures IMMEDIATELY rushed to the microphones to once again oppose this essential temporary travel ban.

       - According to the Hill: "Republican Sen. Susan Collins said Sunday that she does not agree with President Trump's recent tweet that the United States needs his 'travel ban as an extra level of safety' following the attacks in London."

       - The Hill again: "Sen. Roy Blunt said Sunday that President Trump can implement extreme vetting measures without an executive order banning travel from several Muslim-majority countries." And he added: "My view is the president does have certainly the right to put in place extreme vetting. I think you can do that without a travel ban."

That statement is a far cry from what Blunt told the media back in January:"He [Trump] is doing what he told the American people he would do. I would not support a travel ban on Muslims; I do support increased vetting on people applying to travel from countries with extensive terrorist ties or activity. These seven countries meet that standard. Our top priority should be to keep Americans safe."

In regards to Blunt, we can only wonder what changed over the past several months but more importantly, Blunt's evolving position and the position of so many of his Senate colleagues begs a very important question: If you supposedly support the concept of extreme vetting but you can't bring yourself to support something as innocent and innocuous as a temporary 90-day travel ban from certain countries until vetting measures can be determined for those countries, then how are you going to bring yourself to support ANYTHING SUBSTANTIVE AND PERMANENT IN TERMS OF VETTING?

The answer... they won't. All some of these elected officials know how to do is issue weasel words and talk out of both sides of their months and we're sick and tired of it. It's time, right here and right now, to call these vermin on the carpet and demand that they get with the program.

Setting The Record Straight... What The GOP Should Be Doing...

Insanity reigns in Washington right now as the GOP does everything in its power to commit ritual suicide.

Let's set the record straight. This temporary travel ban is not even remotely a religious ban because it does not effect over 85 percent of the Muslims around the world and moreover, the countries with the world's largest Muslim populations, such as Indonesia, Egypt and Pakistan, are not even touched by the temporary travel ban.

And it's not even about barring entry to people who are coming from countries that are hotbeds of terrorism. Some of you have even asked us, for example, why countries like Saudi Arabia are excluded from the ban. The answer is simply. The government believes that we CAN still properly vet people coming from these countries.

What these six nations DO have in common is that vetting in these countries is very problematic because Libya, Sudan, Yemen, Syria and Somalia are embroiled in significant civil wars that make vetting extremely difficult (you can't vet people coming from countries that barely have a functional central government) or the central government, in the case of Iran, is unfriendly to us and can't be relied upon to cooperate with us when it comes to issues of vetting.

When it comes down to it, this temporary travel ban is actually very narrow and, dare we say it, liberal in scope. But that's not good enough for the radical left and the frightened little cowards in Congress who side with our enemies(foreign and domestic) and dare to call themselves Republicans.

So what should the Republicans be doing? It's simple really. Congress could have easily passed legislation that mirrors this temporary travel ban (most Democrats facing uphill re-election battles next year would not dare to vote against it) and furthermore, under the Constitution, Congress could have removed any and all jurisdiction from the federal courts to rule on the legislation.

Oh yes... Congress has the Constitutional authority. Article III, Section 2 of the Constitution clearly states: "the Supreme Court shall have appellate jurisdiction, both as to law and fact, with such exceptions, and under such regulations as the Congress shall make." [Emphasis Ours]

And moreover, the Constitution explicitly states that it is Congress' job to regulate our national immigration policies.

Our problem is that Republicans in Congress REFUSE to do their Constitutional duty. In fact asking them to actually follow the Constitution is perhaps too much to ask, but when Republican Members of Congress stand in the way of sound immigration policy and national security at the same time... that's a bridge too far and they need to be told, in no uncertain terms, that you will not tolerate it.
